I assume the Glendale repeater handles this area ? I know Arcadia has a VHf repeater 154.370 via red 1. Anyone please enlightening me...
the problem with icis is you cant tell who is using what part of the system for something like verdugo when it comes out on burbank, glendale, pasadena, montebello all at the same time. i think the pasadena system covers there better than glendale by close proximity. there are also more programs for monitoring the pasadena icis than the others as modern computers are easier at decoding the control channel for pasadena than the older glendale system.
If your referring to a patch repeater like sierra madre has, thats the only one. All other users on the system use the regular radio system which has repeaters in pasadena, glendale, montebello, and so on.
I don't see any repeaters in Pasadena ....unless you are talking about the city back up. I am looking for the actual repeater units communicate with in Arcadia and Monrovia....I find it hard to believe units are communicating from Monrovia to Pasadena or Glendale for that matter. Does the Arcadia VHF repeater transmit UHF ICIS freq.?
i can hear red 1 on the 154.37 repeater but nothing else. i can hear that all the way from eagle rock.
as for believing the units communicate from monrovia to pasadena, i have seen it with my own eyes that the system works and it works very well. i have directed the scanner to listen to just the pasadena system and heard it as far as orange county.
This ICIS coverage map is about 5 years old, but even with the intervening changes, it gives an idea of what might be expected. Comments and corrections from those "in the know" would be appreciatedas for believing the units communicate from monrovia to pasadena, i have seen it with my own eyes that the system works and it works very well. i have directed the scanner to listen to just the pasadena system and heard it as far as orange county.
