No problem. With the price of modern 2-meter equipment as cheap as it is the older crystal units (as well as older synthesized) are not worth much. Some of the older gear may have some collector value.

Nice radio with low standby current. No sub audible tone so pretty much only gd for simplex.

There are still some VHF repeaters that do not need SA tone but they are getting fewer. Of course if someone wanted to use a vintage piece of equipment they could always get an add-on encoder.
