Icom: Icom 28A Squelch control

I have a 28H solid radio except for the squelch control which has seen better days. It only quiets the radio in a tiny spot now. Sadly parts no longer available except maybe from a dead radio. It was my go to radio for years in my car. Solid 45 watts and great audio..

you might want to try a small squirt of "tv tuner cleaner" into the squelch unit. turn the knob while you do this. you need access from inside the 28 to do this.

I have thought about trying a bit of Deoxit and seeing what happens. Its been relegated the storage box for several years. Shame its really a decent radio.
