Anyone using an external monitor with the '7000 instead of the built in LCD?

I stopped in to HRO recently and asked what I needed to connect my radio to a large monitor. He wasn't sure....since the video out jack is a phono-type plug. I have a nice monitor I'l like to connect it to....it has a DVI or RGB connector only.

Anyone have a thought on this?

I'm pretty sure they're using composite video output.

ok...I'm not up with video connections.....how can that be connected to an external monitor that only has DVI/RGB (I think that's what it's called?

Thanks!

You will have to get a composite video to VGA converter. I did a quick Google search for them and saw prices starting at about $50.

Or find a cheap standard definition TV set that has video input. This is standard NTSC video out. It will probably look better on the TV monitor than it will on your high def computer monitor.
