I have used Ham Radio Deluxe with my older XP laptop a few years ago. Since acquiring Vista, same program and CI-V level converter cable do not function with the radio.
Initially, by mistake, I plugged the converter cable into the RTTY port which is right next to the remote control jack. After doing all the recos the HRD folks suggest, no progress has been made. The driver/s are updated and the USB ports are in sync. Thinking the converter cable was blown/shot, I purchased another cable. Same problem. So, if there was a way of measuring the output from the radio I could tell if the radio needs to be repaired. Any ideas GREATLY appreciated. Tnx K2DTE Richard
