Unable to get any power output on my Icom 7300 when using FT8. In ft8 am able to get the green light and red lights when testing but am unable to show any power output on radio. Works fine on ssb and cw. Any help?
Thanks Rich W3EK

Follow a guide like this one:
If I recall correctly, there's a setting you've missed.

Are you using the radio's internal sound card? Did you install the Icom driver before connecting the radio to the computer? Do you have a USB cable connected between the radio and computer?

Are you changing the radio to USB-D mode?

In Set Mode, is Menu > Connectors > DATA MOD set for USB or MIC,USB?

What software are you using for FT8?

That's why I posted that link. It covers everything from start to finish.

Yeah, could be a lot of things.

I think I had this problem once and the solution was on the computer in the sounds setting. Getting the gain set just right was burried deep in the sound settings
I was thinking the same. The volume control on the 7300's sound card was muted or all the way down on mine.

On the right-hand side of the WSJT-X software front page... there is a power (marked Pwr) slider control. Try sliding it up to increase the power. It may be set too low or set all the way down.
