Does anyone know if basic voice encryption Icom dPMR can be decrypted?
as far as I know there are only 32k codes options? Radio icom IC4062T / IC-F3400D dPMR
Well, if the standard have really have only 32 000 combinations, its absolutely possible? or i may be wrong about that?It can be decrypted if you have the key. But otherwise trying to guess is going to be impossible. There isn't a "universal" key that will let you listen to everything, and no legal/consumer grade gear that will decrypt automatically.
DMR Basic Privacy has 255 different pre-defined 16 bit keys. You don't have to guess the key, you just have to guess which one is in use.
The Icom R30 will decode this...with a known key. In theory it could be brute forced. It may take 32,767 attempts though.Does anyone know if basic voice encryption Icom dPMR can be decrypted?

Yup easily done with the right tools...Does anyone know if basic voice encryption Icom dPMR can be decrypted?

I think you'd need some form of baseband modulator to take the raw [encrypted] audio recording and replay it/module to an rf signal to try and decode via your R8600 receiver. I have no idea how you might actually go about doing this in practice (but I'm interested to learn if some clever person out there can help). For example, I have a recorded transmission in dPMR format, encrypted, is there any software/device through which I can decrypt it or even manually guess the 32,767 possible keys? i think, i cannot do it via R-8600, R-8600 needs a real transmition?
