Icom F43gt Fpp

Hello,

This is a little OT, but does anybody know how to enable FPP (Dealer Mode in ICOMese) for the F33/43 GT?

Yeah, I have looked pretty closely too. I even activated the "Dealer Reserved" mode and it wasn't there. I would be willing to bet there is some trick though. I have never seen a semi recent ICOM that didn't do it, and the UHF version is the military field intercom, which I would think would be FPP.

The military units all have the Transcrypt encryption module installed. Whether this affects the dealer mode I don't know. You would think that the Army would not want the average soldier dinking with the radio. I have an F43GS which only has a few changeable modes on the fly as far as I know. The only problem I have with the F43GS is the alkaline case only holds AAA batteries. Once the Lions are dead, its not much more than a bubble pack.
