just bought this gem,for the life of me what steps do i take to get the programmed freqs installed at the radio shop to start scan mode???whats the easy steps to remember please and thanks

Being that it is a dual band ham radio, you should be able to enter frequencies yourself.

If you're planning on using it for transmitting out of the ham bands, you shouldn't.

But, if just receiving, you should be good to go.

The 2300 is 2m only, not dual band. Off the top of my head receive range is roughly 136-174 and maybe the air band too. Pressing the MR key then up or down on one of the arrow keys on the keypad will start the scan.
