I just bought a ICOM IC-2730A and it only has the power cable pigtail with just one side of the connector. Anybody know the designation of that connector so I can buy one after market.
I could cut it off but just trying to keep things "stock" :) Thanks.

That is a common molex-type connector and the original cable that is missing was fused and had no connector on the far end. It was meant to be run up to the car battery.

Have you tried contacting ICOM America parts department to see if they have that cable?

The manual can be found here.

The service manual is found here.

The ICOM reference for the cable that you are missing is:
W1
8900015280
OPC-345A
The 8900015280 is the part number that you order by.

The ICOM reference for the chassis side of the power cable is:
W300
8900016020
OPC-1671

Nowhere do they state the actual part number of just the connector.

Hope that helps get you started…

Those are commonly referred to as "T-power" connectors. You can go on Amazon and just search on Radio T-power connector and get what you need.

You are certainly welcome! Also, @mmckenna is probably more correct on the terminology of the connector. You might want to snap a picture of the connector hanging off the radio and post it here. Get a good close-up shot showing the male pins so we can see if they are flat blades or round pins. That would also help in identifying things.

You may get good quality connectors from an Amazon seller and you may not.

I recommend Powerwerx for DC cable and radio connector solutions. I've ordered many items from them and never had an issue. Look for OEM-T connectors on this page of their website.

Quicksilver Radio is another good source for DC power products. Look for "T style" connectors on this page on their website.
