Its surprisingly good for the price. Looking at the 2Khz spaced close dynamic range, ARRL labs tested it at 84dB, which is not bad. That rates somewhere between a Yaesu FTDX-3000 and an Icom R-9500 for comparison, both much more expensive radios. Its a very nice receiver in general use and things like the DSP and noise blanker work well.
I finally pulled the trigger and got the 7100. It just arrived yesterday, and I haven't had a chance to hook it up or even unbox it yet;. I'll let you know how I like it when I've used it a while.
