    To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum.

    The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.

    For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

Hello everyone,

I'm working with someone that just purchased a IC-FR4000 for business use. I am trying to get the CWID set-up properly for them to ID at 15 minute intervals per FCC rule. I have it set-up how I think it should be set-up but I am having no success with the repeater ID'ing at all. Below is what I currently have set-up in the software;

"COMMON 3" tab;
RPT Log:
IN Delay Timer: 0.150 - (I assume this is in minutes?)
OFF Delay Timer: 0.000
IN/OFF Interval Timer: OFF
ID OUT during RPT Activation (NOT CHECKED)
C. TONE during ID out (CHECKED)

"EXPERT 1" tab;
CW ID
Dot Period: 0.050
Tone Frequency (Hz): 1000.0
Code: xxxxxxx (My clients FCC ID)

"Memory CH" tab;
RPT Log: PWR ON
RPT Log ID: CW ID

I would like the repeater to ID every 15 minutes, and NOT ID during repeater use.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I know this is an old thread, but it popped up in my search. I just picked up the FR4000 also and I can't get the CWID to work at all. Did you ever figure out the 15 minute interval problem? Also, do those settings above allow the cw to transmit at all?
