ICOM IC-R1 question and wtb

Hi all. I am currently looking to buy an ICOM IC-R1.
I have had the Yaesu vr-500 and the Icom Ic-r5.

(shortwave in particular. I already have Sangean 909.
I know it won't have the same receive)

Could anyone tell how the R1 stacks up to the R-5 and vr-500. Also, does anyone have a decent price on a good used IC-R1.

I have an old R-1 sitting in a baggie in a drawer. Its had a dead battery pack for about 6 years now. Maybe longer. I haven't bothered to replace the rechargable battery pack since I got an R-20 3 or 4 years ago. Its in alright condition, a little scratched up. How much do you want to pay me for it?
