Icom: ICOM IC720A

Has anyone had a problem with receive audio on an ICOM 720A on upper sideband only? The radio receives without a problem on lower sideband and AM, but is distorted on upper sideband. The operating frequency is zeroed using WWV.

Any guidance on how to correct this problem will be appreciated.

I was finally able to find a parts only IC 720A and switched out the IF Board to my IC 720A. The radio immediately started working properly.

If you have a similar problem with the Upper Side Band on an IC 720A, start with the IF Board which is most likely where you will find the problem.
