Unfortunately, Yaesu is in the same town as those damaged nuclear reactors. While the factory wasn't destroyed, it did suffer some damage, & will open again after 2 weeks. The trouble is that even though the factories survived, many of the roads leading to these factories didn't. Some parts suppliers also didn't. So until these roads get rebuilt, parts can't get to the plants, & radios can't be shipped.But I know some Kenwoods are made in Malaysia, & some Yaesus are made in China, so those lines won't be affected. Maybe 2 or more months but NOT 2 weeks [ALSO all depends on the radiation amounts]

I undestand that BUT you need to understand it will be longer then 2 weeks.. ANY company will always short time any outage.
