• To anyone looking to acquire commercial radio programming software:

Please do not make requests for copies of radio programming software which is sold (or was sold) by the manufacturer for any monetary value. All requests will be deleted and a forum infraction issued. Making a request such as this is attempting to engage in software piracy and this forum cannot be involved or associated with this activity. The same goes for any private transaction via Private Message. Even if you attempt to engage in this activity in PM's we will still enforce the forum rules. Your PM's are not private and the administration has the right to read them if there's a hint to criminal activity.

If you are having trouble legally obtaining software please state so. We do not want any hurt feelings when your vague post is mistaken for a free request. It is YOUR responsibility to properly word your request.

To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum.

The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.

For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

I'll post this here as information for anyone else.

Icom IC-F1000S has 16 inversion scrambler frequencies built in. What the specific frequencies are I do not know.
Icom IC-F5061 has one "built in" inversion scrambler frequency.
Kenwood TK-2312/TK7360 can specify a frequency but has a default "Kenwood" inversion code set as default from the factory.

The "Kenwood" inversion code is compatible with the only Icom IC-F5061 inversion code.
The Icom IC-F1000S inversion code 14 seems to be the clearest of the available options to communicate with Kenwood and Icom CS-F5061 radios.

If anyone has what the specific inversion frequencies are in the CS-F1000S as well as the default Kenwood and 5061 frequencies are, it would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Here's the standard 16 voice inversion frequencies from Kenwood.
The default Kenwood inversion frequency seems hard to find. It's believed to be in the 3000 to 3300Hz range, but I haven't found it published anywhere.

Kenwood voice inversion frequencies (Hz):
1 - Kenwood ????
2 - 3000
3 - 3050
4 - 3010
5 - 4096
6 - 2000
7 - 2500
8 - 2700
9 - 3400
10 - 4000
11 - 2900
12 - 3100
13 - 2222
14 - 3333
15 - 2555
16 - 2333

I did have the kenwood code figured out within 10 or so hz, I think it was around 3000 or 3300 hz, I can figure it out again soon since I want to know what it is.
