Does anyone have any tips on listing to an Icom P-25 system on a 436?
Polk County Texas is an Icom P-25 System, when the 436 pulls the system in it is very distorted.

Any Ideas???

What type of antenna are you using? How many bars are you getting?

Yes, signal is very Strong and good. The radio is having trouble with the Icom P-25. I guess if its not Motorola P-25 it cant unscramble it.

No, a P25 system should be listenable to by any P25 scanner. Doesn't matter who the vendor is.

Are you sure the people using the system are unencrypted?

Hold on the TalkGroup or conventional P25 frequency you are having problems decoding (assuming it's not encrypted)

Press: [FUNC] then press down on the top knob once. Press [FUNC] again and press down on the top knob again.

You should see the following display at the bottom of your screen;
ERR:--- 8 AUTO
T 1.43 1.65 1.86

When the garbled/distorted transmission comes in, what is you ERR and AUTO showing on the screen?

If if was encrypted the 436 "should" mute it.
