icom Pcr2500 recordinglevel changes by themselves

recordinglevel changes by themselves on the mikrofon usb codec. it could be 38 and after that 90, has anyone experienced this before? what can i do? need help

That's the setting in Windows for the properties for the microphone using USB audio and have nothing to do with the actual Icom receiver.

Windows shouldn't change the mic level unless you have that level window open and you use the scroll wheel on the mouse, or other user interface devices like TMate or similar controllers. Set the proper level and then close all the windows for sound and click on another window to move the focus to something else. Then check if the level stays where it have been set.

In my computer I have to use a setting of 4 as it seems to be using the actual mic input levels. I know that especially laptops it could be a combined line and mic input that can be configured to use either level.

Ubbe beat me to this. The record output from the Icom is a fixed low level.
(about 1 volt P-P) high impedance.
Something overlooked is if you have the UT-106 option, keep the setting way down on the DSP or it can introduce distortions.
I found the DSP works very well, but too high is too well.
