Does anyone use this page for frequencies?

http://www.perconcorp.com/icom/

I'm using an IC-PCR15OO and a few PCR1OO's on several PC's, so I'm hoping to gather everything I need, organize them nicely into banks, and then save them in a folder in my flash drive to load onto all the PC's.

When I search by service in my county, I get loads of duplicates, but I can go through and delete them. I guess it's a small price to pay. I've found that searching my county by frequency range yields the best results.

I used that a few years back when I worked for a company and did a lot of research I found it useful.

To eliminate the duplicate records, just check the box that says, [ ] Unique

I used to buy PerCon's Spectrum CD's for my region several years ago. I was amazed at how messed up their data was! There were tons of duplicates. I don't mean where they shared a common field of data, or two, but identical duplicates. Some records would have as many as six redundant sets. Sometimes they would abbreviate, other times they would not, making it impossible to perform accurate searches. Spelling errors were all too common. The information was also outdated, lots of obsolete information, and new additions in the last six months would often be missing.

As bad as it was, it was the best available for that time. To be fair to PerCon, they obtained all their data directly from the FCC. All PerCon did is segregate it, and distribute it in various formats, and media. In other words, the FCC themselves were very disorganized. This may have improved since then. The last set I had was in the year 2000. If nothing else, using the site you linked will save you a lot of typing, and you can always clean it up later.

I think you could do a lot better using RR's Database, and TrunkPCR. TrunkPCR can directly import data from RR's Database just like Butel's ARC software, and Don Starr's software.

That's exactly what I'm trying to do...dig up some trunked systems in my area. Analog trunked that is, because I'm using receivers that don't have a P25 module or equivalent capabilities. There's also virtually no public service trunked systems in my area (Wayne and Lackawanna counties, PA) so I'l really just hoping to find anything at all (business trunked?) to get trunkPCR trunk tracking. I found a couple of small systems listed in the 800mhz region and several dozen freq's in the 451, 452, 456, 457, 461 Mhz UHF range that were categorized as 'trunking', but I'll have to find a control channel before I'm convinced this is really a trunking system. These UHF listings DID have large number of frequencies allocated when compared to the 800mhz ones listed in my area, so perhaps they really are trunked. Anyway, I have a little more to learn about these trunked & digital systems altogether, so I'll be doing some RR reading while tinkering with the receivers.
