Hello Everyone,

Have a R3 that I could never get into. I'm trying to gain some practical use for the darn thing and hate to sell it because it would certainly be at a loss.

My question concerns the auto search between two known frequencies, in this case the civilian aero band. Will the R3 store all hits to a specific memory as the AOR's and others do?? As everyone knows, the manual is poorly written and leaves me with more questions than answers.

That being said, I still like the little radio and have a wireless camera for it. Have fun watching my kats as they run around.

Thank you very much for your help.

Searching the entire civil air band even with a fast scanner can be frustrating with the typical short communications. Knowing the frequencies beforehand and scanning memories is much faster and leads to less missed comms.

You may want to look at airport guides such as:
AirNav: Airport Information

And put in your local known airports or cities. If you scroll to the bottom of the page once you are in a city, you'll see outlying links to other airports within the vacinity.

That should make the R3 come to life a lot faster!
