Hi all. I'm a prospective Icom R30 owner, but looking to see if some kind person would be able to help me out with a little experiment to check out a potential cool feature of this receiver to confirm my theory.....you will need an R30 plus access to a Kenwood NXDN transceiver that you can program.

Please contact me via Conversation for details.

TIA, Jim

Ok thanks....so first question is, is it possible to view memory channel name or number from a recording or from the history log?

The attached log is a csv file, I had to change the extension to TXT in order to attach to this message. Change the extension back to CSV on your computer.

In this log is NXDN and P25 records. The channel name or number doesn't appear in the log. Take a look - there is quite a bit of info logged.

I don't record. But the advanced manual on page 3-4 has very detailed info on playback. You can download the manual from Icom's website.

Many thanks Hit_Factor. Any chance of sharing a sample wav file from a NXDN call? On the unidens I know that there is a lot of embedded info in the metadata of the wav file that isn't obvious in the wav filename, but only becomes clear when looked at with the right audio player eg mediamonkey. TIA

I had a chance to look a little further into the meta data for recording.

It matches the columns listed in the CSV posted this morning. This makes a lot of sense when you think about it.

Sorry, can't provide a recorded sample.
