ICOM r5 scanning ranges questions

hi, i want to scan 3 ranges 140-145 , 410-416, 855-857 . i put them in different PROG0, PROG1, PROG2, but how do i set to scan all these 3 prog? thanks

You can only scan one of those PROGs at a time... if you want to scan the entire range you'll have to make another PROG that covers 140-857. I do not think there's a way around this, the R5 has rudimentary scanning functions.

The R5 can scan either one band at a time or All programmed bands. You can change from one scan type to the other by holding down the "Mode Scan" button for approx. 2 seconds ("ALL" or "BAND" will be displayed), then using the dial on the top of the R5 turn back or forth until the desired type is displayed then let the button go. Tap the "Mode Scan" button once to start scanning. Hope this helps.

This is the better solution. I didn't think the answer through fully before posting. FYI. :)
