Icom R5 vs Yaesu VR120

OK, gang...I'm counting on the combined over a hundred years experience on this board. I need to get a compact scanner for work (my courthouse is down the street from the White Plains Galleria, where the woman was stabbed last week). I wanted to go with the R5, since my other two Icom receivers are so good. However, finding an R5 is next to impossible right now.
My question...if I got with the Yaesu VR120D, will I be disappointed? How does it do on VHF/UHF air as well?

Never mind...I checked out the frequency gaps because of cellular imaging, and there are quite a few in the milair band. So much for the 120D.
