what settings on the R8600 should you use? IF out/ or AF? on the back do you
use the IF 10.7 out / or the 3.5mm output jack I did it before on my AOR 5000
way back but I forgot...tks Marciee

Nobody else wants to answer so.......AF works fine for me from an Icom R7000, but IMHO Pocsag is nowhere near as interesting as it was 10 years ago - here in NZ anyway. Be careful what you plug in to the IF out socket, the R7000 has 12volts on it - this was to run their TV adapter - quick snip fixed it!

Be careful what you plug in to the IF out socket, the R7000 has 12volts on it - this was to run their TV adapter - quick snip fixed it!

There's also a spare RCA jack adjacent to the IF Out socket.

A .01uF, 50v ceramic disc soldered from the IF Out center pin to the center pin of this jack fixes the problem nicely and allows connection of the TV-R7000. I've done it to all of mine (7 and counting).
