Hello All,
Was all set for my first "Field Day" experience in 15 years. Got the dipole up at 35' on a fiberglass mast; guyed at three stations.
Plugged in the power, antenna and ground and speaker...no joy. No audio at all, just "shhhhh..." not even a local AM station. Got a good 240 watts out, though.
Checked the coax coming into the house, the dipole antenna connections; all checked good. Looking for an operative loaner radio to confirm my antenna/coax findings; can't learn much w/o test equipment or a radio that can't hear.
The radio, ICOM 775DSP, is over 30 year of age; I've owned it for the past 20. Parts get harder to find, I know. The radio has been idle all those 15 years.
Any help in this regard would be most gratefully received.
