Icom: ICOM V80 Sport Question

I purchased an ICOM V80 Sport HT which I have to set the squelch control every time I turn the radio on. What am I doing wrong? I would think, that once you set the squelch (at level 4) it would stay set or the radio would remember the setting if the radio is turned off and then back on. Thank you for your help with my problem.

I solved my issue or problem with the squelch. I was programming the radio using the CHIRP software. Then, I removed the "AA" battery or removed power to the radio. Which, I believe causes the radio to need to have the squelch level reset the first time the radio is turned back on. My Mistake!
