Hello, looking and eager to hear any reviews of V / U airband reception . It's not yet available here in Canada though we expect it soon.

Looking at the specs the ID-52A doesn't appear to do AM modulation so though it covers the civilian airband frequency range it wouldnt properly modulate it, could be wrong...

Civilian air band works quite well. The stock antenna isnt that great on civ air band. Changed to a comet W100RX and really shines. Mil air band was about the same from my quick testing though.

Forgot to mention, this radio has limitations for air band. Suggest you download the manual and read it first to see what they are.

Hello and I appreciate your hands on feedback. Still not available here. When you say limitations, all that I see is the 8.33 tuning steps for vhf. Is that what you are referring to ?
