Apologies if this has been asked before, but is there any way I can set ID search to on by default in Sentinel when adding systems to favorites lists, without having to manually go into each system and turning it on?

Thanks!

In the Sentinel favorites list editor, click on a system within the favorites list and the Options tab. You can select ID Search On and Off.
Right, but my question was if there was any way to set the ID search option to "on" by default when adding systems instead of having to set it to on for every system I add.

Damn that sucks. I guess I'll submit this as a feature suggestion to the devs then ;)
It's already done. All the presets have been suggested to JoeBearcat's wish list to have them selectable in a settings menu, delays, service types and whatnot that also include defaults for the database.

Just a reminder we do not know where the x36 or SDS firmware memory is we do know the 996p2 is almost full and I had rather have more decode options than waste space on silly button options.

Uniden had to optimize the code to make room for a DMR decoder. So probably no more features for that scanner.

X36/SDS have plenty of room left so no problem adding things. If the firmware code now checks something like the TG delay time and if that's blank it uses a default 2 sec value. It does that for all database scanning. Instead of loading a fixed value it could instead fetch a value from a memory position, that could be a 2 as default but can also be changed to another value in memory from the user. There's very little code needed to be added for that. In the same way that you edit and change a delay timer for the favorite lists different records, it could just the same be one additional edit function for a default value.

The adjustable default settings make most sense in Sentinels profile settings but could have a use in the scanner as well.
