ID Search

Just to refresh my Memory. With the ID search. By turning off it effects only the new TGIDs not any "new" UIDs that would show up ?

ID Search:
The scanner plays traffic from any TGID not listed in the FL or main DB, and displays the TGID, regardless of Service Type selections or Avoids on Departments or individual talkgroups.

ID Scan:
Traffic from unknown TGIDs is ignored. Only traffic from TGIDS with selected Service Types that are not Avoided will be played.

Ok what about the UIDs ?

Actually, ID Search will play any TGID, regardless if listed in FL or main DB or not, as long as it is not avoided.

Ok what about the UIDs ?

UID'S have nothing to do with ID search.

UID's are displayed by selecting Unit ID display on.

ID Search applies to talk group ID, not Unit ID.

The display of TG and UID are separate settings. Using Sentinel, UID is turned on or off in the Profile Editor. ID Search is set using Favorites Lists Editor.

UID:
Sentinel - Edit Profile - Display Options - Display Mode - Mode 2 (Unit ID Mode)

Search ID:
Sentinel - Favorites List Editor - Select a Trunk System - Systems - ID: Search
