• Effective immediately we will be deleting, without notice, any negative threads or posts that deal with the use of encryption and streaming of scanner audio.

We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern.

If you violate these guidelines your post will be deleted without notice and an infraction will be issued. We are not against discussion of this issue. You just need to do it in the right place. For example:

I believe ID Tracker II to now be a fairly stable application. I am therefore releasing a Beta version.

http://bellsouthpwp.net/k/d/kd5eis/IDTracker/IDTracker.htm

- Misc. changes to code.
- Corrected problem with duplicate entries in the ID list after stopping and
restarting program.
- Added support for tracking which site an ID has appeared on.

BCD396T is known to not work correctly with this release. I hope to have this working before the final release of the software.

Thanks David!

I just want to make a point and note that David was the one that provided the live audio streams from Baton Rouge during Katrina that gave us glimpse into operations on the State of Louisiana Smartzone system into New Orleans, and DHS operations during the air rescues.

Some of the best scanner listening I ever heard was over his radios on the feed, and the icecast server that we hosted served over 2000 clients at a time at one point.

In any case, thanks Dave, and good luck on your latest release of IDTracker. May you continue to refine your VB Skills!

?? According to the developer's web site, the 996 isn't supported. What am I missing here?
