- Added support for GRE PSR-500/600 scanners.
- Added scanner display to "Scanner Control" dialog for GRE and Uniden scanners.
- Added Radio ID tracking for GRE scanners.

Although there are some unresolved issues, I believe that ID Tracker II will be stable for most users. If you wish to report issues, please send them to my email address below for faster response.

I am running it on both a 500 and 106.

I guess I have had my head in the sand. I was not aware that the PRO-106 existed. Glad to hear that ID Tracker II works with the 106. I will have to update my web page to state this.

Edit: Has anyone tried the software with the PRO-197? This appears to be a PSR-600 clone.

Just out of curiosity... why do you like it better than Win500 (presuming you've tried it) for logging/recording/controlling the PSR-500? I ask because I'm always trying to improve my software.

Hi,Don I like all your programs very much. But I like the layout & color control of id 2.Actually I been using before with my uniden scanners before led on the psr500 came out.Same idea but talkgroup ids come up as the colors you assign. And logs in the colors to,Just to name a few.And different then most programs as it looks like a cad sort of and not a scanner. Thanks Mike p.s. no offense to anyones programs.

Ah, OK. So, if I understand correctly, it's the user interface, and not the actual logging/recording end result (i.e. files created).

I have never recorded with it,But the logging is very good. And it does have files saved to a log file.Mike

I have only used it for a short time but it seems to work ok on my PRO-197.

ID Tracker in Pro-197/PSR-500

I'm currently running ID Tracker on a 197 and it reads the incorrect Scanlist Ie, Scanning list 8 which is EDACS but the data listed is list 16 or alternating to list 17 which are both LTR. The ID's and alpha tags (including list tag) are LTR format, but the frequencies displayed are all for the EDACS system selected in list 8.

I've also switched to Motorola list and it reads data from another Motorola list, but still displays frequencies of the selected list.:confused:

Without stopping ID Tracker, I switched cable to PSR-500 and everything is logging correctly. More

I suspect a new profile may be required for the 197.

Yup, load new scanner image does the trick. PSR-500 image is 2 and Pro-197 is 4, as found in IDTrack2.ini

Edit: both are image 2.

for logging it logs all talkgroups new and old on the screen for me that I can see any new talkgroups and on which system to enter them in.
for recording, this software will of course record audio, and during each time they talk it adds in about 1 second of blank space.
You can record all traffic on that TSYS or Bank into one file or into seperate files. You can choose how big of a file by minutes if you want them split into seperate files.

I cannot remember but your software could not do something with recording audio, something about maybe blank audio space.

Only two things I wish is it could write new talkgroups to the scanner and record audio from different TSYS or BANKS all to the same file.
I have one TSYS for our MPSCS P25 system and a CONV for UHF fire and it will not record everything to one file.
Don you can PM me with you have any other questions and I would be wlling to anwer. I have been a big supporter of this program, of course because this is free, but being a paid member of your program, love it for programming.

Mike,

Thanks for the comments. Look for a another update soon. Item so far:

- Added "Audio File Rollover" option.
- Added option to disable "Maximum Record Time" setting by entering a value of zero (0).
- Corrected "subscript out of range" error when Playback dialog is displayed before tracking has been started.
- Added checks to prevent conflicts between audio playback and recording when one or the other is active. Conflicts could result in corrupt audio files or indexes.

Edit: both are image 2.

Unlike the Uniden scanners, GRE's control protocol is limited in that it does not provide all the necessary information for ID Tracker II. In order to properly follow the scanner, ID Tracker II requires a copy of the scanner image so it can correctly identify the "Objects". Anytime you change scanners or reprogram the scanner, you need to perform an image reload.

Don,

Just to let you know, I also use your Win500 software (of coarse you may know this) for programming my scanner. I did not see any reason to re-invent the wheel.

I wrote ID Tracker and ID Tracker II for one main function, to track down and identify new frequencies and talkgroups. The program is therefore streamlined for that purpose. At the time I started ID Tracker most other programs were for programming or simply computer interfaces for controlling the scanner. None provided what I thought was necessary to meet my main purpose.

One other thing, I wanted a small footprint on the desktop.
