Another Fleetnet question.

Got my BC-246T all programmed up with the codes and all. I get a transmission on ID:35235 that is supposedly Sydenham (Wallaceburg) hospital but this is not the right ID. In fact, it's not even close to it. The only thing it is close to is Wallaceburg Tac 3 at ID:35232

How is it doing this? I've noticed it with a few other IDs as well.

The Lambton talkgroup for Wallaceburg dispatch is coming up on 15175, another odd number.

The TG+3 means the base TG 35232 is patched to one or more TGs. As for 15175, looks like TG+7 (15168); don't recall what this means (multi-selected?) but I don't see it listed so you might have found something new.

Make sure your status bit is turned on. Then you should get the proper group id's

Yes and if you are wondering about the unpublished ID's, here is something that relates to status bits and trunktracking radios. (snipped
from the Home page here from Online Content/Trunking Info/Motorola
Type II systems)

TTID + # Usage (TT=TrunkTracker)
ID+0 Normal Talkgroup
ID+1 All Talkgroup
ID+2 Emergency
ID+3 talkgroup patch to another
ID+4 Emergency Patch
ID+5 Emergency multi-group
ID+6 Not assigned
ID+7 Multi-select (initiated by dispatcher)
ID+8 DES Encryption talkgroup
ID+9 DES All Talkgroup
ID+10 DES Emergency
ID+11 DES Talkgroup patch
ID+12 DES Emergency Patch
ID+13 DES Emergency multi-group
ID+14 Not assigned
ID+15 Multi-select DES TG

Now, would you rather see the "status bit - ON" talkgroup or the" ID +" groups ?

So... if I set the status bit on I will see the MODIFIED number but if it's off I will see the base (unmodified) number? Is that correct?

So if I put in the base number it in essence monitors that AND all modified numbers when I'm in SCAN mode (as opposed to SEARCH)?

I haven't had enough to test it, but when a unit is doing a patch to the hospital, I don't seem to receive it in ID SCAN mode but it seems to find the modified number in ID SEARCH.

Not in SCAN mode, just SEARCH.

So what you want to do for ID SCAN is enter those patch talkgroups in your scan lists Most newer scanners can handle 100 ID's per bank nowadays. You should have lots of room.

It will always locate the patch group in SEARCH mode .
