Does anyone have any information on the Idaho State Police/Government TRS? I understand there are a few sites listed to the state and I was wondering if anyone knows their long term plans? Here are a few of their sites currently licensed:

Trunked

Well I live in area where might be able to check it out ... But I dont know yet how to poke in the info into my pro95 or my pro 2052 ...

That would be most interesting to know more about the system. Since Idaho is very mountainous they will need a large number of tower sites to effectively cover the entire state. I would also suspect that trees would also play a significant part in the deflection or reflection of signals.


IMHO, they should trunk the 453 and 460 MHz bands for better coverage. 800 MHz can have some serious coverage gaps between mountains.

humm found list of mes of trunked systems .. will a pro 95 or 2052
track ltr trunked systems.... now the big question how the heck do i set it up to do it?

I live in the Boise area, and I have the freqs. entered into my Pro-95. The ISP use the freqs. listed in the 460 range, and the tranportation department uses mostly freqs. listed in the 453 range. I don't think the trunked system listed for the state is in use by anyone at the moment, at least I haven't heard anyone on it. I heard they are seeking more funding for it.
