I typically use DSD-PLUS to identify whenever a new P25 site comes online on my state system (TACN). However, I'm away from home right now. Is there a way to do this on the SDS100 itself? I have a feeling there is a new site locally but it's not in the RR database yet.

Search that band and log each of the sites you can hear.

There's no way to just view the P25 neighbor list from an existing control channel?
Not that I can think of. You'd have to scan the band for control channels and see if a site ID comes up that isn't logged already.

Good time to start building a pack with an RTL-SDR or other device and small antenna or magnet mount for the car to sit down for a few minutes and scan the area!

New to my SDS 200, however when I am away from my UT this is a work around that is working for me.

Set up a custom search, for me I use 7 for 700MHZ and 8 for 800MHZ.

Create a new P25 trunking system. I called mine P25 Wild. Under system options be sure to enable TG search. For the Site rename it wild and put any frequency as a placeholder. Department put any one TG as placeholder.

Then back to a custom search, when the scan stops on a valid system ID and top right says data this is a valid control channel.

Make a note of frequency and enter that into the wild system site frequency.
You will then enable that system, the radio will display all the parameters of the system including RFSS, Site, NAC and sys id.

So not exactly neighbors, but might get you in the neighborhood of finding new sites on a system.

Hi, Do you do this using Proscan, Sentinel or manually on the scanner? I have been trying to do this myself. I have Proscan and Sentinel. I have a 436 and a 536 and this would be great to be able to do on trips looking for new sites

Thank you very much
