Been logging Indiana Department of Homeland Security (IDHS) units these past few months & was wondering if anyone had a description of what the various units are & their duties. Didn't see anything on the Wiki but it might be a great addition.

Specifically I've found these so far:

97-## (Fire Marshalls if my old data is correct, Also referred to as ARSON-#)
CODE ENFORCEMENT-#
ENFORCEMENT-# (probably the same thing as Code Enforcement?)
DL-# (new one I just noticed this week & seems to be related to the Response units)
RESPONSE-#

Thanks!

Emergency Management Incident Response AKA Response 6 etc...
Emergency Management Coordinators AKA Coordinator 3 etc
District Liaisons AKA DL 4 etc Replaces Coordinator, but some still use the old term.
Arson Investigations AKA Arson 7 etc or Investigator 7 etc...
Hazmat Response AKA HazMat 3 etc
Code Enforcement Officers AKA Code Enforcement 8 etc... Or yes, just Enforcement 7 etc...

Homeland Security Law Enforcement Officers AKA Homeland Security 2 etc,
Homeland Security Investigators AKA SI 9 etc

And some units have ISP type badge numbering. Thats the ones you hear as 97XX

And just other day first time I heard on air - Technician

And please make sure you are logging not just the "Badge" numbers, but the UID/RID they use. Trust me on this, pretty soon you will see why.

Thank you both! I'm keeping my master log in Proscan so I'm keeping UID/RID's with each entry. Can't wait to "see why"! :)

Heard. new one while reviewing the logs.
RID 9308704 "CHOCK-1" calling state EOC with a radio check.

He might have said "CHOP-1" but the EOC reply reallly sounded like "CHOCK-1".

Thoughts?

JOC-1 "JOCK ONE"... Camp Atterbury Joint Operations Center 1 (Primary)
They also do their own statewide "Roll Call" for the ARNG every week.

Now, the fun part is can ya separate the Army Reserve, from the National Guard, and Air National Guard RID's into their respective slots? :)
