Hello all,

I live in laurel county Ky. When I try and listen to whitley county sheriff there is some moron who keys the mic and holds it the whole time they talk. Not just that he/she at random just hits the mic for what appears to be no reason. On talk PCR it hits me at around 7 and floats a little (mobile?). I am using the RS sputnik and it aggravates the hell outta me. Thought it might be a phase some punk is going through the first time I heard it. But weeks have past and it continues.

Anyone around here hear it?

If this is a repeater, try to monitor the input frequency. This will give you a better idea of how close to you they are. Also, if you have a directional antenna like a yagi or a beam you could find out what direction they are from you.

some are saying its bleed over from aurel co so 155.535 and others are saying its bleed over from a repeater in tennessee.
when so units try to talk on whitley so freq. I do hear what sounds to be bleed over and it sounds like an encryption of some sort.
Laurel SO isnt encrypted so Im thinking someone else maybe ?
I don't know what they should do to get rid of the interference but I do know that their repeater is in a good coverage spot. Hope they don't move tha

1 thing would be to change the pl/dpl on the input frequency to the repeater or require a certain dtmf string to open the repeater
