If there ever is another firmware update for the SDS scanners, I would like to place an order

I have the SDS100 and I assume the SDS200 is the same.
In the Menu, under "Set Scan Selection", move "Select Lists to Monitor" to the top. Manage Quick Key Status second, then Nationwide Systems.

I don't understand the problem? If you turn the selector knob, doesn't it highlight what you're looking for, or are are you having difficulty navigating a couple selector knob turns?

I'm a little unclear about precisely what firmware change you are looking, although I have come up with a few of my own suggestions, as have others. You may get a reply by a Bearcat Rep here that your request will be added to some "list", which seems to have be accumulating for years, and I truly believe that the SDS series is performing (and selling) so well that Uniden would be fearful of changing anything in the firmware regardless of how minute that change would be for the very real fear of screwing something else up big time. So unless there is a major firmware failure, I think requests to fix anything less than absolutely catastrophic is not in the cards. And speaking of cards, think of the SDS series as a proverbial house of cards, where one false move in redoing anything could cause the whole house to tumble down.

My scan preference is to scan over FL scanlist and not to skip departments of all FL scanlists at once.

It isn't a problem. Not all firmware updates address problems. This would be an operation improvement. Just what I said. Make "Select List to Monitor" number one in the menu as it is more used than "Manage Quick Key Status". If it isn't important to you then you wouldn't mind if it were moved.

I perform that task in Sentinel prior to Writing to Scanner, which probably would be easier for you than to navigate in the scanner's menu I would think.

Hard to take sentinel portable. If you enable too many favorites takes forever to start the scanner. If you stay in one place most of the time it doesn't matter.

Monitor and Download are on for 48 systems I have programmed in both my SDS100 and SDS200's and I wouldn't say it takes forever. Do you have Force Full Database enabled by chance?

Full database is not loaded. I don't have a problem needs solving. Simply think the menu order would be better if "Select List to Monitor was first. Those 48 favorites must be really simple.

Mix of everything actually, but not all being monitored at the same time...now that would take a long time! Hopefully we'll see some firmware updates before 2024.

The OP is assuming a number of things that haven’t been vetted, like moving a menu item HE thinks is the most used to be the first choice… while that may or may not be true, it’s not as if it’s up there in priority with world peace. And while it shows a deep and sincere interest in the scanner, it’s about as anal retentive as it can get. Someone please close out this thread and be done with it.

Wow. All this just because I prefer the menu list in a more logical order? You must have designed the damn thing to be so upset at the suggestion it is in the wrong order. This is why I took a couple years off from the forums. Time for another break.

We should close a thread just because you don't agree with the OP? Sorry but that's not going to happen. Surprised you got so worked up over a simple suggestion?

As far as moving the "Select Lists to Monitor" menu item goes, I agree with the OP. It should be the very first menu item.

Better yet, add a menu system above the current menu. A selection of service types for say type 1, just mil air, type 2, P25 only, etc. Sucks having to disable services and select different services to scan. If a menu to have these services by services, would make scanning much easier.

We've already gone through these "suggestions". Look up "Help me, help you " thread from 15 months ago. Voyager Bearcat can't get anything done, so don't waste your time.
