If you could only operate one HF band, which would it be ?

If I had no HOA antenna restrictions I would also pick 40. Since I could much more easily accommodate a hidden 20M antenna, that would be a better compromise for me.

I'm torn... 40, 17, or 12. Like lots of others have said, 40 is good pretty much all the time. 17 isn't too busy and most everyone I run into there is friendly and enjoys chatting. 12, when it is open is usually pretty quiet for me noise wise, and like 17, people are friendly and like to chat.
