Hello New Mexico,

I have been trying to monitor Taos here in Los Alamos for the last couple months and have discovered a few things.

Transmit 154.95 Receive 155.97 (mostly law, but have heard fire/ems)
Transmit 153.905 Receive 154.07 (mostly law, but have heard fire/ems)
Transmit 154.055 Receive 155.895 (have only heard county fire/ems out of city)

It seems all law and fire/ems is centrally dispatched because I usually hear "Taos Central Dispatch" in most transmissions. The 155.97 seems to be mostly for the city.

I am wondering if it is a North/South issue with the first two sets of freqs. If you do a search on the FCC site the 154.07 is not registered to the County or the City....which seems weird.

We have all seen 155.19 in the books and on the web pages as Taos County Sheriff. I think this is false. The only thing I ever hear is UNM Police. Have you heard any Taos transmissions on this freq?

Thanks in advance for any confirmed knowledge you have about these frequencies or how they run the police/sheriff/fire/ems in the area.

PS: State Police in the area use 154.935 base and 156.105 mobiles

Baseball.... You need to read posts carefully and then think before you post a reply. We have all tried to help you on this forum and I can't see how you can write a post liket this,

"hey bud, look at the radioreference database & FCC web sites. the FCC web site is www.fcc.gov or go to www.abqscan.com find albuquerque stuff okay. anyway you need to do on your own is do some researching.

Out of your 29 post to date, 23 of them are direct questions. So please think before you write, "anyway you need to do on your own is do some researching." Were all here to help each other!

Your Bud,
Erik
