Now that Dane County fire departments have started doing MABAS activations, I've been hearing more of the IFERN channel. What's the correct pronunciation of this channel?
Eye-Fern?
If-Urn?

EYE-FERN is the most common way I have heard it. I know I may in the minority but I miss the IL. link.

But seriously, many times, I thought about going down over the state line if there was a really big fire just to see the apparatus and listen to the fireground traffic. Oh well, win some, lose some.
