It just helps speed up the process of just that getting the funding. Those that have damages can recover some of the loss, and those that were out of power can recoup some of the funds for generators and what not that they have had to purchase. It will be interesting once the dust settles to see just what the damages convert to in money.........Hoser

TWC is just now sayin Cleveland is getting winds over 60, It cooled right down here Mike. Hopefully it will calm down seen lots of roofing singles bent over, Ill have to look tommarrow. Hoser

Yeah I spoke too soon on that post. A half hour later I was without power - fortunately my power was restored 9 amthis morning. So I only had to deal with 36 hours of outage. Columbiana Co and Tuscarawas were the hardest hit around here. To add insult to injury, AEP's East Liverpool site went down this morning, right in the midst of them all working feverishly up in E Liverpool area. They're now affiliating with mostly Kilgore (amazingly) site.

No damage at my house or that of any of the family, so we came away very fortunate.

Two of my co-workers live in the Dayton area and my company is headquartered there. Monday, the main office was without power (servers were down), my boss and the other coworker were without power (the coworker still is without). I found out about the damage by logging into WHIO TV's web page.

Not sure of my bosses status. He has been like a yoyo, up and down. He said his neighbor was on a different system and had power (but no internet for either) that he was plugged into for his fridge and a couple of lights.

Another of my coworkers lives in eastern Texas (between Houston and Dallas). The eye of Ike passed over her house around 2 PM Saturday and they seem to have gotten by better than much of Ohio.

We had strong wind, I lost a few shingles, others lost shingles and siding. My power stayed on while a lot of poeple were out. I took an on call shift because I was one of the few with power.

any one hear from radioscan ?

Thanks for asking. We were without power for about 36 hours.
Still no cable or internet, I did get two paid days off work.
Back to work today and replying from there. Still lots of places
out in the Cincinnati/Dayton area. Lots of downed trees and lines still.
I probably won't be around here much until our cable/internet gets restored.
