A retired state trooper is accused of using his mobile computer when he was still on the force to access child porn while on duty.
Juan Rodriguez, 50, of Glen Ellyn, is charged with official misconduct, aggravated child pornography and child Pornography. The DuPage County state's attorney's office said Rodriguez retired from the state police in March.
Officials from Immigration and Customs Enforcement traced access to child pornography back to Rodriguez's state police mobile data computer, the office said. "Rodriguez accessed the images while on duty as an Illinois State Police trooper," it said.
Rodriguez was scheduled to appear in bond court today.
