I have held back several weeks watching what has been going on here. I admire your curiosity, interest and dedication to our hobby.
Perhaps some of your posts are not 100% fact checked, licenced, bonded, certified, insured, regulated, sworn under oath , monitored, documented or guaranteed by the FDIC.
SO WHAT--YOU TRY ! You listen and document alot of info, obviously. You post here, on your board and others as a way of spreading, correcting and verifying frequencies and channel plans. That's the whole purpose of internet message boards, to post, ask and learn. Things are changing so fast, it's the only way nowadays.
I've seen what you are going through on dozens of other internet message boards dealing with a dozen different topics, so it's not new.
I've never met you, have no idea who you are or what you are about, but here's some advice:
1. Keep doing what you are doing. If you want to limit yourself to your board, remember that there are ALOT of others that read more than one board.
2. Consider lurking for a while, as you see, I contribute very little to internet boards, cause I don't know it all, and I am tired of the BullS--t that inevitably erupts should I thoughtlessly post info that expired yesterday morning. In the grand scheme of things, it just ain't worth it.
3. NEVER, NEVER, NEVER, think you know more than a HAM. Even if you are one.This comes from 30 years of experence.
TO LINDSAY: Please clean up this board. This is the finest scanning message board around. Keep it that way. No more L.I.S.R.'s. And get rid of the Post Counters, they are nothing but problems.
