Not much to say about this but it will help some alot. I was having some crackling in audio in decodes and I tried reinstalling drivers for sound and network but that wasn't the fix.
Tonight I remembered I had two DDR2 memory sticks in my laptop one was 233mhz 512mb the other 1024mb 266mhz. I removed the 512 233mhz stick from the laptop and plugged it in pressed power. After booting into windows I started UniTrunker and DSD+. Sound so much better! SDR# was alot smoother as well.
Lesson learned...Never use mismatched memory speeds for software defined radio purposes!
This seems to fit both sections Software Defined Radio And Computer section. Hope I posted in the right spot.
