As many have noted, the weekly NYDXA Shortwave / Scanner net held each Wednesday, at 9:00 p.m., has been off the air for the past few weeks. The 147.360 repeater in New York City is experiencing some sort of severe “digital” interference. The repeater’s trustees have been informed and the problem will be repaired as soon as they can gain access to the site.
Adding to the already negative situation our mail server, used to distribute The Urban DX’er a free monthly newsletter, suffered a crash in late June. Unfortunately, the entire mailing list was lost. Through some extensive efforts much of the list was recreated using e-mail that were archived. We expect to resume regular distribution of the newsletter very soon.
In the interim, if you previously received the newsletter or wish to be added to the list, please drop us a short e-mail at nydxa@yahoo.com We’re confident that all of our regular listeners are on the new list, but we would not want to leave anyone out!
