i am no longer using shoutcast. i just bought the butel arc eazy-stream. this program has no delay and shows tex tags of the channels that you are listening to.. in order for you to listen to my feed you will have to go to http://www.butelsoftware.com/ download the arc eazy stream client its free..

after you get that install which only takes a second enter my addy.

pinellasfirerescue.no-ip.org

then make sure the ports are set on

audio port 8100

data port 8101

happy listening.....

sounds good? no breaking up or anything? somebody told it was dropping transmission and breaking up but they were on dial up.. so that may have been it

The volume seems a bit low. (never reaching over 50%)

What is the load it puts on your outbound bandwidth per connected user?

Consult the Pdf (maybe).

There are a bunch of bandwidh tools out there but using them in a consistant manner would be tough.

You would really need to know from BUTEL what codec he is using and whether or not it is multicast (I doubt it).

From a server perspective can you see the number of connections?

Kind of high.
8K mono is about 11k and is AM quality but that doesn't include data.

10 users on ARC is 350K. If your upload speed is 512 the you have just given up 2/3rds of it.
That is not really a bad thing.

It is just alot of BW

Do you include Med Bravo (38336) as one of the talk groups on the feed? It's one of the best talk groups on the system.
