• To anyone looking to acquire commercial radio programming software:

Please do not make requests for copies of radio programming software which is sold (or was sold) by the manufacturer for any monetary value. All requests will be deleted and a forum infraction issued. Making a request such as this is attempting to engage in software piracy and this forum cannot be involved or associated with this activity. The same goes for any private transaction via Private Message. Even if you attempt to engage in this activity in PM's we will still enforce the forum rules. Your PM's are not private and the administration has the right to read them if there's a hint to criminal activity.

If you are having trouble legally obtaining software please state so. We do not want any hurt feelings when your vague post is mistaken for a free request. It is YOUR responsibility to properly word your request.

To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum.

The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.

For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

I have an APX battery, impres2 battery, but I found that the battery cannot be repaired when charging with HTN9000C, And the number of charging reaches about 5 times, it is almost not charged (10 minutes will show full), you must get the APX special charger to repair before continuing to charge on the HTN9000C normally.please see the charger label, what is this?

Not sure what you mean by repair but Impres chargers don't repair anything. They condition the battery to get the most out of service life. Impres batteries will not bring back dead batteries. The HTN9000C isn't even an Impres charger nor is it for the APX series. If your battery is dead, get a new battery.

That looks like an aftermarket charger which will not be able to recondition an IMPRES battery. I'm guessing they use an impres sticker on everything. For the record it is possible to fit an APX 6/7/8 battery in an HTN9000C (I actually have both chargers on my desk) and the lights come on but that's as far as I went with this, I'm keeping my batteries with their respective chargers!

The HTN9000A HTN9000B HTN9000D doesn't have a recinditioning sticker, only the HTN9000C does, and I'm pretty sure it's an original charger.

On MOTOROLA's official website, they call this charger intelligence charger, intelligence charger is not the early name of IMpres?

It may be related but I doubt it is the same... I have an HTN9000C in front of me and there is no reconditioning sticker on it, just the conventional charging sticker. Regardless it is NOT the right charger for that battery. Get the right charger and I bet it will work.

Regardless of what it says, the HTN9000C is a Waris series charger and isn't intended to fit the APX series batteries. Buy the right charger and you won't have an issue.

That battery was made in 2017 and is now 6 years old. Toss it in the bin and get a fresh one.
