Improve/tweak antenna

I have a RS Antenna, similiar to the model#20-032, is there anyway to improve/tweak this antenna for better reception, I mostly listen to my local PD/FD between 151.00-170.500. Thanks

Read some of the older posts like this one

You probably can't improve that antenna very much on high band.
If you want a really good high band antenna, get a 5/8 wave from
one of the real manufacturers like Maxrad, Antenex, Larsen, etc. and
stay away from Radio Shack junk.

Thanks for the link nd5y, I followed the link/instructions found there, and it did improve my reception.
Now I know some people are going to post a reply flaming me for this comment without some sort of concrete evidence, but the only evidence I have are my ears, I don't have, nor can I afford, or need any special equipment, what I HEARD before the changes was some distant PD's/FD's that came in a little scratchy/static, what I HEARD after the changes, they now come in crystal clear, thats all the evidence I need. No problem with tweeking and tuning.

The easieast way to keep track is to note a few frequencies with consistant marginal signals. The weather channels are good for VHF, and you need to find some in UHF and 800.

Then after each adjuctment check thise channels for improvement or degradation. Start with marginal channels (noisey scratch reception) as those are the easiest to hear a difference on.

That way you WILL know what bands improved and if any got worse.

Also it is best if you cange one thing at a time between measurments so you know what REALY did cause the improvment.

This will help you build knowledge and avoid building superstitions.

It seems everything I want to listen to is comming in great, all the PD's/FD's in my area are clear, even the ones that weren't before, all the weather channels come in clear, I don't have a scanner that will pick up 800Mhz, besides no one I want to listen to are in that range (yet), everyone I listen to are within a 40 mile radius, Gary being the farthest (32-37 miles away) and they come in clear, I pretty much have my antenna set, I hate to mess with it. If for some reason, the situation changes, I'll experiment some more, using your suggestions.
