Wow. I figured with all that state money IMS got a couple years ago they would have upgraded to a DMR system! (/sarc)

A large portion that state grant was to fund accessibility updates to make the IMS facility ADA compliant.

Anyone able to confirm the track safety frequency being used this year? Had hear them on 451.6875 in the past, but also know IndyCar has a TRBO repeater for them as well.

Looking forward to the race!

I'm heading to the track tomorrow to see what I can figure out. I'm interested to see how much traffic 452.3375 has since Zore's has a repeater on that freq about 1.5 miles away.

From my scanning at the track on bump day, I found a lot of DCS/CTCSS codes to help reject noise. There are some powerful transmitters nearby that were causing interference, got much better once I added the tones/codes.

Ones I'm 100% on:

Race Control: 468.825MHz CTCSS 103.5
IMS Track Safety (dryers, tow trucks, etc): 451.725Mhz (456.725 input) CTCSS 218.1
Track PA System: 455.1375 (input 450.1375)
IndyCar Radio: 454.000

Ones I'm unsure on:

IMS Maintenance (electricians, mechanical, etc): 452.0500 (input 457.0500) CTCSS 186.2
IMS Hospitality?: 468.8125 DCS 546 (Heard a lot of talk about penthouses and VIPs)
IMS Ecology?: 468.775 DCS 271
IMS ADA Drivers?: 468.750 DCS 54 (Asking for pickups for fans, wheelchairs on vans and golf carts)
IMS Track Safety Input channel: 468.5875 CTCSS 203.5
IMS Landscaping?: 462.075 DCS 243 (Talking about bermudagrass, water pressure)
IMS Media?: 461.4 DCS 306 (Heard mention of media booths, ice)
IMS Vans?: 461.35 DCS 516 (Heard van pickups at various gates)

Unknown:

Unknown DMR (encrypted?) 464.175 MHz Color:13 TGID 732474
457.8625 DCS 503
457.2875 DCS 331
457.0625 DCS 411
456.9000 DCS 723 (Got a cart and wheelchair for AJ Foyt)
452.3375 DCS 664
452.2875 DCS 245

I also found the DCS/CTCSS for almost all drivers. I can post those as well, if others would like them, but it will be later this week.

IMS Safety & Courtesy Patrol folks(Actually a private contractor that hires just for the Indy five double O, and the Brickyard events. Great for those that need a lil extra cash ...)

IMS Hospitality?: 468.8125 DCS 546 (Heard a lot of talk about penthouses and VIPs)
IMS Hospitality/Catering (Yes they have a couple of divisions, one specifically to run for the VIPs etc, one group for general concessions, one for media relations....)

IMPD/MCSO Race Command should be on S1-T13.... IMPD/MCSO/SPD Ops on S1-T5 thru S1-T10 Though that might get changed some as they make final adjustments.... Also as usual, IMPD MET-NW1, and 2 will have stuff, as will SPD-DISP , TAC1, TAC2, and OPS.... ISP will usually roll on D52-OPS1, and OPS2. with some stuff on the DISP. Primary IFEMS should be S1-T1 thru S1-T4. Command will be S1-T14 and 15 though again there could be some shifting as final adjustments are made.

452.625 146.2 - infield medical? - 'pit pagoda to infield care'
IMS Medical/Safety. (Infield) Usually followed with contact with IFEMS/SFD, and whoever else is contracted for EMS services if its serious.(Used to be SEALS not sure if they still have it). Make that AMR this year! So add the ERS-OCI TRS to your scan lists...

To reiterate my posting a couple of posts ago...
IMPD/SPD/MCSO Command: S1-T13 unless changes are made.... And all TG will ba announced early each AM.
IFD/SFD Command: S1-T14
IEMS Command aside from any direct IFD: S1-T15
IFEMS Ops: S1-T1 thru S1-T5
IMPD/SPD Ops: S1-T6 thru S1-T12
Changes ARE possible, so monitor IFEMS 49F-DISP, North and South (Usually always patched together!), Car to Car... IMPD NW-1, NW-2, CW, MCS-CTRL, and SPD-DISP.
ISP Monitor D52-DISP, OPS 1, OPS 2.

For AMR, monitor them on the ERS-OCI system, and the track MED, Safety, CHs. NOTE: AMR may have TAC/OPS TGs that we have not found yet. Still working on figuring out all the line ups on that system.
For the Medevac Helo: Monitor IU Health Lifeline on ERS-OCI and the VHF, and the St Vincents STATFlight/STATGround VHF.

Also keep an ear to ALL SPD TGs......And MET NW Tgs

And its NOT MECA it is IDPSC...Name was changed a couple of years ago. The ONLY thing called MECA is the Radio Shop.

Any emergency that requires an transport to the hospitals of course will be on the 49M-MED TGs...

Also, anything out in the parking/camping partylots.... Will usually be on SPD, IMPD NW, SFD OPS....

And be aware that some new programming, and upgrades to the GPS data and other tweaks have been occurring this week on IDPS, Motorola and IDPSC techs have been busy last few days....

Not sure if IMPD, IFD and IEMS will roll out the Mobile Command Units to the track or not this year.

Think its far too late to set one up now as it takes days to get approved. If one of the folks running an feed currently.. was to say go ONLY to the TGs in use.. Though technically in VIOLATION of the TOS as they are all TACTICAL TGs....... You could legally ONLY use the IFEMS S1 TACs.....

ALSO: All the same TACs will be used for all events all weekend, unless changes are made.... And all TG will be announced early each AM.
IMPD/SPD/MCSO Command: S1-T13
IFD/SFD Command: S1-T14
IEMS Command aside from any direct IFD: S1-T15
IFEMS Ops: S1-T1 thru S1-T5
IMPD/SPD Ops: S1-T6 thru S1-T12
ISP Monitor D52-DISP, OPS 1, OPS 2.
In addition to ops not on IMS property or involved with crowd control/parking control.....
IMPD/MCSO on MET NW1, 2, and MCS CTL.
SPD on ALL SPD TGs.
SFD on SFD OPS
and of course IFEMS TGs.
