Anyone near new carlisle that would be willing to meet up one day and can help me program my radio. I purchased a bcd325p2 a few yrs ago and I just need some help programming everything. I’ve been trying to read through these forums and watch youtube but there’s just some stuff I don’t understand and I’m more of a hands on learner just need some guidance I guess. Thanks

If the OP is trying to monitor activity on this system, I'm seeing a site containing simulcast cells in Clark County. Simulcast distortion may be a factor if monitoring this system using a 325p2

No simulcast in Clark County; they're all stand-alone sites. The neighboring counties to the west, southwest and south do use simulcast, though.

Well he will still need a cable which he says he doesn't have.

According to the Wiki the BCD325P2 uses an ordinary USB-Mini cable. I'd be surprised if he doesn't have one of those lying around the house; nearly everyone I know has several.

I wouldn't recommend trying to charge through a run-of-the-mill USB-mini cable though; the power leads won't handle much current and it would take forever to charge, in addition to which charging and operating at the same time might be problematic.

I highly recommend the ones from Monoprice. They work great, come in a variety of lengths (up to 15ft if you're so inclined), are quite rugged, yet they're dirt cheap (about a buck and a half for a 3-foot cable).

I hate hand programming my 325p2. I use Proscan and Freescan to program mine. Super easy. You also need to be a subscriber to RR here too.
